Senior Portraits: Seize the Day, Emma!

Emma is in her Senior year at Wamogo and "Seize the Day" is her motto!  And she certainly does!  Emma plays soccer, basketball and does crew.  She's also a lifeguard who can't get enough of the ocean.  She loves bright colors & crazy patterns, Gossip Girl & medical shows and hopes to one day be a physical therapist.  With that big, beautiful smile - she's bound to bring a little sunshine into your day!  Please take a look at Emma's Senior Portraits below:

BFF's at the Beach

A couple weeks ago I did a little road trip to Rhode Island with my oldest daughter, Madeline to photograph Addy for her Senior Portraits.  Addy and her family have been spending their summers in Charlestown for many years and along the way have become close friends with other families that summer in RI.  So in addition to photographing Addy that day, we did some "BFF Beach Portraits" with a group of kids that have grown up together.  The results were pure fun!

Great idea for a group of high school friends heading into their Senior Year, extended family get togethers, cousins and even a "Girl Get-Together."  If you have 60 seconds, take a look at the pics & video below:

This Redhead is a Farm Girl at Heart - Riley's Senior Portraits

Riley will be starting her Senior year at Wamogo in just a few days.  She's been swimming competively since she was about 4 1/2 years old.  She's a life guard, swim coach and also plays field hockey, tennis and lacrosse.  This natural red head has gorgeous hair but hates shaving her legs, loves watermelon and is really close with her younger brother, Max.

She's a country girl through and through right down to her cowgirl boots and love of country music.  Riley is working at Thorncrest Farm where she takes care of the cows and loves it!  Did I mention that Thorncrest Farm is also home to Milk House Chocolates?  (Hhhhmmm, I wonder if they're hiring?).  Check out Riley's "farm-inspired" Senior Portraits below:

Need Something to Smile About Today?

Every year, I'm fortunate enough to photograph these lovely little preschool angels!  It's fun to watch them grow and they change so much in a year, I'm always surprised.  Get ready to smile and take a look at the preschool portraits below:

Yiippeee! Penelope is One!

Shannon and Zach contacted me to capture their lovely baby girl's first birthday portraits.  Having recently relocated from NYC, they decided they really wanted to also do a family portrait to celebrate the beginning of their growing family.  Shannon & I planned out the color schemes, outfits and cake - now all we needed was for Penelope to cooperate.  This kid was a trooper!  We made it through the family portrait, the "clean outfit" and the Cake Smash.  She had enough when her cake was thoroughly "smashed".  Check out their images below:

She's Not the Prettiest Girl but Boy is she Nice!

A long overdue blog post about one of he nicest girls in the world - our new dog, Kinsley Jane!  We adpoted her from the North Shore Animal League, Southbury back in November.  We weren't actually planning on geting a dog that day although my kids Madeline, Adam and Vivian were lobbying hard to get a dog for the previous few months.  I was taking Madeline to an eye appointment and the "Adoption Bus" was parked in the parking lot.  Well that's all Vivian, my dog loving daughter had to see.  We just had to go take a look at the dogs.  We saw this scruffy, little, twelve pound, pitiful face:

This is the face I saw after she heard the word, "NO"

And now this is the face that greets us every day:

Below is Vivian's 8 year old birthday portrait.  Of corse, Kinsley Jane had to be included.

V is for - Very Nice, Vineyard Vines and Vin

There's a little tear in my eye as I write this post about Vin - He's the last Senior I photographed for the Class of 2014.  Somehow, I'm sure he's anything but sad!  He graduates on Tuesday from Canterbury.  A super nice kid that has played hockey all his life and big brother to 11 year-old, Tim (Vin named his brother).  On the day of our shoot, there was already a lot of snow on the ground.  We were headed down the hill behind my studio to the "man cave" / cabin when I totally fell and wiped out in the snow.  I couldn't get up.  Vin was nice enough to help pull the old lady to her feet again  (very embarassing for me but Vin seemed to roll with it)!  Needless to say, Girls - this one is a keeper!  He's a swimmer and plays waterpolo; loves JCrew & Vineyard Vines; does not like Christmas music and is suppose to wear glasses but doesn't.  Put him on the beach with his dog and he's a happy guy!  Check out Vin's Senior Portraits below:
